Nika King (Founder of Rose of Sharon) is the Be Great! Social Impact Award recipient for our 2022 Humanitarian Awards.
Nika is an American actress and comedian. She is best known for her role as Leslie Bennett on the 16-time EMMY-nominated HBO television series Euphoria. After speaking at the 2021 Better Together: Mental Health Storytelling Summit produced by MTV Entertainment Group, King was compelled to establish Rose of Sharon, a 501 (c) 3 based in South Los Angeles, CA. The mission of the nonprofit is to improve the quality of life for individuals and families from underserved and marginalized communities by compassionately serving their mental health and wellness.

Founded by Walter Hart, Jr., Canine Companions, Ltd empowers veterans with PTSD and children with autism spectrum disorder to live a life full of achievement and self-esteem. We can also arm them with a marketable skill that will allow them to give back to their communities as dog trainers.

Having played all over the country, as well as internationally, Lindsey Alley has entertained audiences everywhere from 54 Below in New York City to the world-famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles. Lindsey has been performing in theatre, television and film since the age of six. In 1989, she was cast as a Mouseketeer on the Disney Channel’s, Mickey Mouse Club, performing alongside Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, etc. She was one of only three cast members to appear in the pilot and all seven seasons of the show.
